VALUE ANALYSIS OF GMI PRODUCT
We have carried out the detailed analysis of EMICAL PCC & we would like to
inform the following modifications at GMI for further improving the Emical Sigma
Grades.
- Seiving the Slurry with 425 mesh instead of 325 mesh & provisioning
discharge lines with SS instead of MS thus reducing the sieve residue &
obtaining more purity of the product by disallowing the impure substance
The crystalline structure is predominantly Calcite
Besides, Provision of additional SS pins have been made at the drying unit. - Provision of higher gauss Magnets in the slurry lines which
would facilitate in having better control over magnetic particles,
sieve residue & obtain a value added product.
Besides. SS cladding of PCC tanks has been carried out. - Provision of additional Electric actuators at Reactor slurry
outlet pipelines & recarbonation introduced in order to have precise control
on control of pH. Also, provision of Strainer made at at Filter unit - The particle size of Emical PCC is lower yielding better replacement of
TiO2) - The Opacity values are better (contrast ratio 93%) offering good hiding
power. - The whiteness index is superior by using whiter Limestone.
- The Settled volume is lower (32 ml) indicating better L values owing to
lighter product. - Flow point is higher (21 ml/15 gm) allowing better viscosity.
- The GMI process is backed by GMP certification to maintain consistency
in quality aspects & other operational systems.
Above attributes of EMICAL PCC would thus offer better value addition in the
formulations.
Avail from General Mineral Industries Co Llc., a comprehensive range of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC). We are known as the major Manufacturer, Exporter and Supplier of PCC and thus we offer its consistent quality across the globe. Our range of PCC includes PCC For Paint, PCC for Cables, PCC for uPVC/ Profiles, PCC for Cosmetics, PCC for Dentifrice, PCC for Food & Pharma, PCC for Ink, PCC For Paper, PCC for Rubber and PCC for Sealant. Our Precipitated Calcium Carbonate is known for its features viz. uniformity in quality, high chemical purity, easy dispersion, high opacity and high degree of whiteness.
Process
EMICAL PCC is manufactured by the reaction of dissolved Carbon dioxide with suspension of Calcium hydroxide under varied conditions to obtain different crystal structure, shape and particle size. Various properties for end use applications can be infused into the PCC by virtue of precise reaction controls.
The specific structure, shape and particle size of P.C.C facilitates processing of a polymer matrix and subsequently the physicomechanical properties of the end product. EMICAL PCC is one of unique classes of extender, which can be classified as a multifunctional product providing an outstanding cost / performance opportunity.
The surface treated EMICAL (Alpha Grades) allows good dispersibility in polymer mix and gives higher loading and output besides improved surface gloss, degree of whiteness and good weathering resistance.
